Flood 2020
Oil on Canvas, 51” x 51”, 2019 SOLD
“Flood 2020” was created during my time at the Wabash Intonational Artist Residency in Northern Indiana. It’s a romantic meditation on my time there. Northern Indiana is very lush, green, wet, and humid, and because of climate change flooding is very common now. I would be up late a lot sweating from the humidity, but enveloped by all this dominating greenery. It could also sometimes be so dark at night you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face… The whole experience sensorily was like being hugged by a big warm wet blanket. I yearned for all of these feelings and elements to retake the architecture. < return to paintings
